Folliculitis is a common skin problem that results from inflammation of the hair follicles. It can occur anywhere on the body and Folliculitis on the face is nothing but acne vulgaris caused by P.acnes bacteria. Typical symptoms of folliculitis include redness, rash, pain, itching, pimples, papules and pustules. There are many reasons behind this skin condition: improper shaving methods, friction caused by rubbing of the skin against clothes, blockage caused by tight clothes, stress, hormonal factors etc can all contribute to it. Following home remedies can help you get rid of folliculitis and subsequent scars.

Mix it up with some juice or honey if you aren’t fond of its taste. For scalp folliculitis, use apple cider vinegar after shampooing your hair as a final rinse.
