Glaucoma is often called the ‘sneak thief of sight’; it has no symptoms, comes on rather suddenly and there is no effect on vision whatsoever at least in the beginning stages. However, by the time the disease progresses and you start noticing your eyesight isn’t what it used to be; it is too late. In glaucoma, there is an intense pressure buildup in the eye that prevents nutrients from reaching the optic nerve. Without nutrition, the optic nerve begins to die leading to loss of vision. In majority of blindness cases, loss of eyesight can be attributed to glaucoma. Thankfully, if caught early, and with the right nutrition and treatment, the progress of glaucoma can be halted in its tracks.
Here are some home remedies and natural ways to lower eye pressure.
